Would like to go to the darkside on my Kaw. VN1500L2 Nomad 2001
It a Kawasaki Vn1500 L2 Vulcan Nomad and My rear tire is a 150/80/16 what would be a good DS replacement. Would like a little help please.

195/60-16 is prolly as close as you'll be able to find height wise

Looks like you are in the same boat as the mid 2000 Harley's. My 05 FXSTBI has the same size 150/80x16 tire. The 175/60x16 Dunlop Winter Sport ROF the Bridgestone Turenza EL and a Federal Formoza seem to be what is available in that size range in the US. Measure well and do some research.

Yup, on my 2003 Vuclan Classic 1500 came stock with the 150 at the rear and a 130 up front. I'm now riding the Hankook Optimo H426 car tire at the rear, which is a 195/60/16. You can also use a 195/65/16 if you want a tad higher, which would lower your revs ever so slightly as well. So one or the other is good for the 1500 Classics. However, I thought the stock Nomads tires were 180's, in which case you could go with a 205, or even a 215 because the swing arm of the Nads is a little wider. However, that may be so for the newer Nads. Yours being an 01 might be more like the 1500 Classic. Hopefully some Nomad owners here will clarify that for you.

I have a Dunlop 195/60/16 on mine
I put a Dunlop SP5000 on mine (2003Nomad). I only have about 150 miles on it, but love it so far!.
No clearance issues; though it IS a tight squezze getting it in there....
