New Guy
Hello All , I am new to the DarkSideand want to say Hi to everyone ..
Newbee question of the the year ... how big can i go? how wide can i go?
I have A 02 1800c with stock rims and I am in the middle of buying the parts so i can go wider ... I am eying my 295/50-15's that are on my hotrod right now ... lol ... I like wide and low profile if i can get them to fit for less than it will cost for a mootrcycle tire ... WOW anyone price a 300 .... I can not really do any thing but look at the internet right now and see what will work on my bike ... I am stuck in the desert on the other side of the world at the moment and will not be home till April....
Any Info Would be Great...

Welcome to the Board!!!
For a stock "C" the biggest most run is a 205/65/16.
I think to go any wider you have to at least dimple or modify the swing arm for clearance.
Stay safe on the other side of the world!

Re: New Guy
we need a little more info... are you buying a phat tire kit, aka wider swing arm, new fender, ect? or asking about stock size max? 205s are the widest you can go and you will want to stick with the 60 or 65 series sidewall height to keep your speedo and odo close...

Re: New Guy
What I am planing on is making my own swing arm at the moment and mounting it on the out side of the frame were the existing swing arm is bolted threw... kind of like the V-ROD... I am planing on using a 300 wheel and a belt drive using a modifided cross shaft that a shop in LA is making for me this summer...I have drawn up a plan for a outer bearing suport that my fatherin law is going to machine for me ...But this is all on paper at the moment becouse I am stuck in the middle of this desert in Iraq... I even got my VTX with out seeing it ... 5000 miles on this bike for only 2500 bucks ... Good freind...

Re: New Guy
well then you will be able to run a wider tire then! lol I know the 240 and maybe up to the 260 darkside are popular on the triumph rockets, so you ought to be able to pull it off, but you might want more sidewall as the width increases for flex... guessin there...
that's a killer price on the scoot by the way!
