Re: new to the darkside
People are talking about a release agent applied to the mold when the tire is built,
conventional wisdom is that this agent will cause a new tire will loose traction more than one that has about 100 or so miles on it.
However I know that Goodyear doesn't actually use a "mold release" when they build tires. And I suspect no one else does either, that the slickness
is actually a phenomenon associated with fresh cured rubber.

Re: new to the darkside
Welcome to the darkside! Mold release is on any tire including MT also! I didn't have any issues but some did...made the tire feel a little squirrelly, but it didn't slip on them like MT will. So, just use your judgement and have fun!

Try "countersteer" instead of leaning and practice it until it comes second nature and then you will own it!!! JMO

WENT 350 MILES TODAY NO PROBLEMS .JUST HAS ONE THING HAPPEND ON A SHORT U TURN TOOK OFF FAST AND IN THE TURN THE TIRE DID A HOPPING MOTION . I AM THINKING I NEED TO ADD AIR PRESSURE FROM 36 IS WHAT IS IN THE TIRE . AM I RIGHT . I WAS GOING TO PUT THE PRESSURE AT ABOUT 40 42

Re: new to the darkside
Congrats and welcome.
Personally I think there's definitely some "mold" on the tires. Don't know about this specific one.
Enjoy it anyway.
Regarding Twin's advice about the counter steering, that's just his way to compensate for
all the empty boxes.

re new to the darkside
Watch out for the uneven road surfaces and cracks ,they tend to be more of an issue at higher pressures.that and better traction (more tread on the road) is why some of us recomend lower pressures 32 /34 is where my sweet spot is but everyone has to find what they are comfortable with.
