ive been wanting to put a car tire on my bike after seeing it on a bike at a bike rally in ill. dude talked to me a bit on it but didnt get to know all i needed to know i got a 04 1800 vtx found that threw here a 205/65/16 would work out for me or any other suggestions would be greatfuly apeciated thanks lynn

depending on your model... If you do have the 16" rear rim, then you bet it will!

its a c modle would a 205 70 16 be less wide

The 205-70 will be narrower and taller, I ran it on mine and loved it.

sorry to disagree, but a 205/70 will be the same width but a 5% taller sidewall... the 1st number is the width, the second is an aspect ratio of that width that equals the sidewall height

i went to walmart they dont have it so i called the man i deal with on motorcycle tires he mounts them i asked him for the tire size got wait i wanted but i asked him to mount it he lost his mind said thats dangerous so i said thanks and hung up id rather beleve some one that has the tire on the ground than to only therorise the possibilitys than to do them so gusess im doing them i got a bead breaker at work if any body knows a short cut id be thankful

the only hi speed tire i could find was 205 60 16 would that still work

I would check the bead width of the tire. If it is an inch or less wider than your rim it should mount without to much trouble. If it is over an inch wider it could give you problems mounting, but I'm pretty sure others have done it. Maybe some will chime in.

Ive got an 1300R but Im running a 1800C rim with a michelin 205/65/16, heck of a combo....goodyear ttt come in 205/60/16 another good tire...good luck and welcome to the darkside....
