Mileage for the Toyo T1R Proxes

Hello, I've got about 15K miles on my Toyo proxes (1800F--> 18in rim). I've recently noticed that the tread is only about 1mm away from the wear markers. I will probably have to replace it by about 20K. I'm surprised how fast it's wearing. I thought I'd get at least 30K miles out of it.

I'd love to hear some feedback on how many miles you've gotten from your toyo proxes tire on your 1800F. Other model VTX info won't apply here, because of the difference in the tires/treads etc.

My twin brother Titaniumwing didn't get very good mileage out of his Proxes either on his wing. It's a softer tire, but he did like the Toyo TR1 better.


Not sure if that helps, but it sure beats getting 6,000 miles out a motorcycle tire.

I was told when I put mine on that it was good for about 15 to 20 thousand miles. Sounds about right. I have a little less than 14 thousand on mine and I would say its just a tad over 3/4 life. So I would say that sounds like we are both are spot on. I do know that I will be replacing it with another T1R as it is already hanging on the wall ready for when I need it. I got a twofer deal when I bought through Discount tire.

sounds about right for where I'm at mileage wise on mine too...
