Looks good...thought that was a Valk. single sided swing arm.
Wonder if a Valk/Goldwing swing arm would bolt up to an X?

yes and no. It has been done with a GW arm, but it is a little longer and has to be turned up-side-down if I remember correctly the GW drive is on the right where ours is on the left...

Forward Controls
Friend of mine said when I got this bike in 99 no way can you put forward controls on a Valkyrie
Here is the brake side which I might add will work off of either brake lever
this is the shifter side also will work off either lever
The floorboards fold up

You got pics of how you built this.....Make a mod thread on the Valk or General thread and spread the love. We could use good stuff like this.

I made 3 tries at answering your question keep getting a login problem
The set I made cost me $1,500 in material and machine time , You buy
an aftermarket or factory set. The shifter needs to have a straight shot
From point "A' to point "B" I used heim joints at each end of the linkage
the brake side would be a self contained hyd. unit going to the brake
actuator.

The Valk swingarm isn't a single side swingarm (like the 1800 Wing). It's verrry similar to the VTX swingarm, only reversed (pumpkin on the right side on the Valk).
I've often wondered about interchangeable parts with the Valk/VTX. Since the Valk has been discontinued, parts will become harder to find, so knowing about equivalent parts on other bikes is important for us.
