Looks like a slightly stripped down Heritage - the paper called it a bicycle! Wonder what caused the crash...oh, I shoulda thot - the truck.

The emblem on the side of the tank looks like it is a suzuki boulevard. Sure hope the rider is ok.

I'd looked at it too quickly - definitely not a Harley, just a wannabe - doesn't that back tire look FLAT to you guys? Hmmm.
Dirty as the windshield looks, he couldn't see where he was either...unless that happened in the crash.

Hard to say about a possible flat but definitely not a Harley. Not enough oil underneath.

Darksider crash Empty C90 Boulevard

Post  DaZerkster Fri Jun 18, 2010 4:58 pm

The cycle in the picture is definitely a C90 Suzuki (VL1500). The back tire does look flat, but by the shape of the read fender I could assume he was rear ended. So a flat is a definite possibility.
Great site here...

The riders name is Marvin Ezell. He is currently in stable condition but his left leg had to be amputated after the accident. His bike was a 2005 Gray on Black Boulevard C90. (Looked up his name and found a review he made on some passenger floorboards that had his bike specs listed.) Looks like he was hit form behind from the pictures in the above article. You see the first skid starts with a gouge in the pavement, probably where the truck hit and crushed the fender into the tire. Then the bike may have bounced and skidded before ending up in the ditch.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Marvin and his family.

Ask and ye shall recieve.... I contacted the hospital where he is staying and talked with one of the nurses in the CCU.

For any who wish to send well wishes or cards you can send them to the following address:

Marvin Ezell
Southeast Alabama Medical Center
Critical Care Room 440
1108 Ross Clark Circle
Dothan, AL 36301

Word from the hospital staff is that it sounds as if he was hit from behind while stopped. The staff also stated that his wife is having a very tough time as well, and while they cannot give out any information they stated you could just address letters to Mrs. Ezell to offer support. I have an extra Darksiders patch I think I will send his way along with a card or letter. Please feel free to forward this information on to others.

How cool is this? A guy from Iowa just picks up a communicatioon device, dials a number that he pulled off of a computing device and finds out the status of a total stranger a thousand miles away. Man I love this technology stuff. Well done Doc.

See you out there

My Google-Fu is great. With the right motivation it can be a wonderful thing. Hope you guys send a card and make it worth while.

I have also posted this info on the VTXOA and the VTX cafe, and will be posting it on the North Star Riders site. I would really like to see these folks get 500 cards/letters offering support and well wishes.

These new generations bikes are showing much improvement lately, don't take the HD crap to heart. There are actually a couple of their bikes I would have. Just dont see making that jump. Maybe in a few years when we see more about how they are holding up.
Til then, its just good natured and dare I say Historically Factual Based teasing.

There is NO BRAND, 2 wheels is 2 wheels. The rest is just feel good stuff cheers
