CT recommendation for 06 1600 classic
Hey Everyone,
I have looked at several car tires for my ride...I am pretty sure that a 205-60/16 will fit. but, will a 205-65/16 be taller and wouldnt that make more gap between the swingarm and tire, which is what I am looking for(more gap) that Credit card clearance worries me just a tad
I am looking at the goodyear assurance triple tread or the Fuzion HR

The 205- 65- 16 should be narrower but the credit card clearence hasn't been a problem in three years. The tire will grow in height and lessen in width with rpm.

Hi Eric,
Just last week I mounted a TOYO P205-65-16R on my 05 Nomad. No weights at all and just rode in a MDA run in Monroe, LA Saturday. No problems at all. I'm running 32psi and about the only difference in BT's is slow cornering acceleration causes some squirrely feeling at the rear. The 205 65 is taller than original, so I have temporarily removed my trailer hitch and remounted the original rear support behind the rear tire...wouldn't fit with aftermarket support. Looks like I'm going to be about 10% off on my speedo now..but I can live with that. I'm planning on an extended 2 week road trip in July with a friend who rides a 2000 CC Kaw with same size tire on rear..will post feelings after that trip in July.
