The shop that mounted my tire on my 2000 valkyrie interstate put 51 psi as that is what the tire called for. This seems a little high to me. What psi do others run?

I would start at 40 then drop 4 lbs per ride until I got close to the feel I wanted and adjust from there. I find that through the life of the tire the pressure will change to maintain the same feel.

+1...on what Jedison said....that pressure you started with is too high! Keep trying until the pressure matches your riding style and then when confidence comes...so will another air pressure adjustment.
