Running on E85
I have the race bike ready to head to Maxton , and I made a few changes. I switched fuels and did some testing with E85. impressive torque for lower rpm ( under 8k ). The bike went 6.3@120 mph in the 1/8 mile. I am looking to be the first darksider over 200 , maybe with a nitrous assist
If there a stations in your area, you may want to look into the conversion. Much better around town... runs cooler and more power. The price is $2.25 / gallon and has 110 octane :-) The higher the compression on the bike, the better the power gains are.

Re: Running on E85
I am not sure why , but the bike was down on power last weekend. I could only get 180 mph out of it. I thought that the E85 was causing problems so I switched back to gas, and then it slowed down to 175 :-( That is a long way from the 202 mph I ran in maine in August.
I did make some changes for the race. I geared the bike to go faster by adding 1 tooth to the front. And I removed the MSD ignition because it was throwing an error code. But the plugs looked good and motor seems to pull ok , but wont turn more than 9500 rpm in 5th gear. I will try changing plugs and coils to see if the mph picks back up.

What all is involved in the swith over to E85? Larger injectors? There's no rubber fuel hose on your bike to change out is there?

I just changed the fuel map ... I have converted both the stret bike and the race bike .
I dont think that there are any issues unless you have an antique ... most modern fuel systems are capable of handling ethanol.
