Went home for the weekend, pics of a weekend trip 2 weeks ago

A buddy and I took off saturday morning and headed to southern Illinois to Shawnee national forrest, We went to Garden of Gods where these first few pics were shot. The pics do not do this place justice, these rock outcroppings were formed a few million years ago when the area was covered by an ocean. As the ocean receded these were formed. If you are ever passing through southern Illinois take the time to see it.







about a mile down the road from this park entrance was another unmarked road that went to what is called the KGC park. the KGC were southern sympathisers back during the war of aggression, or what the history books call the the Civil war, lord knows there was nothing civil about it. Anyway the KGC used this park as a secret meeting place as it could be easily guarded and defended and it is definately out in the middle of nowhere.





Another place to see is cave in rock. a natural formation in the side of the rock right on the Ohio river that has been used by pirates to rob settlers headed down the river and at other times has been a bar and a brothel. Pics didnt come out so good there so no pics sorry.We did find some really cool roads to ride and play on.

If you cant make the cbr les try to hook up and ride southern illinois or indiana together.
