Question ? Empty Question ?

Post  Guest Sun Jul 26, 2009 7:25 pm

I will be joining the Darkside tomorrow, will my Bridgestone Pontenza 205/60R/16 make my speedometer more accurate ?
My bike is a stock 2005 VTX 1800C.
Thanks

Shouldn't change speedo much, and if you have stock gearing, it will be slightly less accurate if anything.
Check Bridgestone O.D. spec, OEM Dunlop 180/70R16 is 26.0", smaller diameter tire makes speedo read higher.

It won't change a helluva lot, if you went with a 205/65 it would be slightly more accurate at about 26.3", but that size is N/A in a Potenza. You'll probably never notice a difference except by a GPS check. Relax and enjoy the ride Cool
