Victory Vision
Anyone on here know of anyone that is riding Darkside on the Victory Visions? If so, what size tire and brands are they using?

Re: Victory Vision
I wonder if the tire size would be the same as the Goldwings. The factory rear tire size is a 180/60/16 and I think the tires the Goldwings are using are 195/55/16 CTs. Does this site have a list of tire companies that do well and ones to steer away from?

Re: Victory Vision
we do not have a black list , but we do send people to places that have done a good job with us and look for people in your area.
some even might help you do it yourself. it not hard , look on you-tube for "motorcycle tire change"
videos show details that you can follow when a written step by step might confuse you.
good luck.

Re: Victory Vision
I didn't so much mean a "black list" as I meant a list of tire manufacturers that their tire does well or their tires don't. I don't want to buy a tire and find out it won't last or it won't perform well.

Re: Victory Vision
It's been done. Someone was on here about 6 months ago and had put a ct on his vision. That's about all I recall (may have been a pm actually).
Harley's are the only bikes that have some difficulty with CTs.

Re: Victory Vision
[b]Itoo have a Victory Vision, and will most likely go darkside with it next tire change. I have one on my rat bike, and have only about 600 miles thus far. I want a few more miles on that testbed before the Vision gets dark. I would go with a size proven good on a GL1800, as they share the same size M/C tires, front, and rear. Please, let us know how it goes! -----Metalguy

Re: Victory Vision
Falkens are the only ones I recommend staying away from... only brand with repeated complaints and problems suspected to be caused by flimsy sidewalls

Victory Vision
I just finished mounting a CT on my 2008 Victory Vision Tour. This is my second bike with a CT mounted on the rear so I am already a believer. I installed a Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grid (195/55/R16 87H). It looks good and rides even better. Plenty of room inside the rear wheel well. Send me a PM and I will fill you in on installation tips.
