Re: Honda Magna. Darkside?
We need to know what size tire is stock on his bike. I'm not aware of anyone on here doing it, so either it hasn't gotten around yet, or it's not doable. Tire size will help figure that out.

Re: Honda Magna. Darkside?
His current MC tire size is a 150/80 15. I looked around and it seems that a tire near that size is a PITA to find other than in winter tire for some reason. Any info would help. Thanks

Boy. My first thought is to check the actual height measurements on the 165/80-15 and see how close it will be. Might make the bike a tad taller. If the change is less then 1 inch, I would probably just try it. If it rubs on the top of the fender during a ride when the springs compress, you could stiffen the springs to see if that takes care of it. Even if it doesn't work, he'd only be out 50 bucks.

Re: Honda Magna. Darkside?
If I recall, the magna's have a lot of fender clearance. The 165 ought be perfect.
I'd like to have an old magna myself....... Have him be careful taking off with a car tire. That front end is likely to pop right up!

Used to own one...
I used to own one myself. Kick myself for getting rid of it. It's awfully "sporty" : leans over ALOT . I'm pretty new to all this, but I was under the assumption that we "cruisers" used 'em because we coouldn't lean over as far?
Keep it safe, and good luck !!

Umm, I'm thinking you are talking about the original magnas, the later ones were pretty much a shadow 750 with a V-4 engine in it.
I could be wrong though.

That could be...
That could very well be. That one I had was a BEAST !! As much as I'm loving my HydroEdge, I'd be scared to have one on that monster, LOL. It was all I could do to keep the front wheel on the ground, and I was thinking of investing in the pants with those inserts to protect my knees. Had enough close rubs that I actually ruined 2 pair of levis. (rubbing them on the ground in corners, and occasional sphincter releases.)
Thanks for the heads up/info, so if the question ever comes my way again. Ride safe all!! The season finally made it here, can't wait to get off of work!
