Placed a goodyear viva p195/65r/15 with a 170/80/15 mc tube on a 05-c50t wasn't easy ,but it's worth it,so far i think it's better on dirt an slowrace type riding. After riding about 100 miles it's fine on highways,i'am not dead yet. bluedog

How much pressure to get it to seat?

Finaly!
Christ that was a bitch!
Left it aired at 125PSI since last post after airin it up and bouncing it, beating it, kicking it, and in general showin it no mercy...no luck....tried over and over and over for several days before finally deciding to leave it aired up till the spring thaw....[months later] went out to my barn thursday the damn thing still hadn't seated.....only one resort left...ride the f***er till it either blew up or seated....30 miles of the worst most potholed, rutted, lumpy and bumpy back road later finally the first pop....the left side finally seated....awesome now for the right...many more miles latter pop! The F***er finally seated. yay!

Since I've put 150 miles on and love it......don't know if it was worth the effort yet but rides real nice...a little squirmy accelerating into turns, but very sticky in the wet compared to the dunny rear I had before it.

Next time I think I'm going to go with a taller & wider tire though...it looks smallish There's plenty of room to go up to a 235 or a 245 tire. When I was testing for fit before I bought my rear I test stuffed a 235/70/16 in there and there was clearance in all directions. I just wish I could better wrap my mind around how those numbers convert to overall diameter and width.

Can I assume you did use WD40 or another suitable lube on the rim before inflation?

Oil is BAD for tires! so no, no WD-40...first trys were with dish soap ...always worked before and still works...in that case the bead was so friggin tight (I suspect M/C 15" is larger than C/T 15"...at least with a tube type rim) that I ended up trying silicone lube (which was labled as suitable for tire mounting use) and finally hydraulic oil (which don't eat the rubber like petroleum based oils will). That tire is long gone and I hate to admit it but I've mounted a 6 ply Kenda which is supposedly rated at 20,000mi. tread life in it's place....@ $70 shipped the price was right and with 5,000mi. on it it still looks new....pretty darn good tire tho I do miss the wet handling of the C/T...not too long from now I will mount a Kenda out front seeing as the dunny on it now is about due to go with only 4,500mi. on it...pretty fucking shitty considering what I paid for the damn thing.
