2000 plus miles
Well over 2k miles on the federal ss657 165/80/r15, and there isn't even a trace of wear on the tire. Handling has been terrific, a noticable difference(all possitive) on the vlx with a c/t over the m/c tire. Lots more stopping and starting patch to work with. I don't think I'll have a wear problem on this as I don't think the vlx is capable of a burn out, that and I'm not real interested in doing the burn out, may get to where showing off might cause me problems, so I'll just ride as I have been only with a lot more confidence.
Thank you all for your answers to all my questions. I can forsee a little wider on the next tire if ever I need one, maybe the 195/--/15, which will lower me some but not to any great degree. Glad I came over.

Re: 2000 plus miles
You should pull it off at around 10,000 miles to service the final drive ( Splines ) even if it is still lookin' like new ....I can't count the number of folks that's put those high mileage passenger tires on and fried the splines .Its not a pretty picture and repairs will get in your pocket .
