Hancook 205/55 16V on 2006 1600 Vulcan
Just picked up a Hancook 205/55 16V to use on my Vulcan. Can anyone tell me if they have ever used one of these tires before and if so how did it workout for them? Thanks. Just in case anyone wants to know, the Mark II Ariel Sq 4 in the picture runs just fine.

Ariel,
They aren't many darksiders with your bike here and may take a while to get the opinions you want! I try not to give opinions if I don't have experience with something! So, hang in there, if you can't wait, set your own path!

Sorry I spelled it wrong, it's a Hankook not Hancook . Think it should throw a little water when its wet?

RE HANCOOK205-55-16V ON 2006 1600 VULCAN
I have a 2005 vulcan nomad 1600 with 205-60-16 tripple tread.I BARELY HAVE CREDIT CARD CLEARANCE. I am wondering if your 55 series will fit without modifying your shaft tube. RIDE SAFE Larry S.

Hi Larry,
If I remember right the 55 is the height of the tire and is 55% of the width, so a 205/55 16 should be no wider than a 205/60 16 just not as tall. Keep the shiny side up. Mike

RE HANCOOK 205-55-16 ON 2006 1600 VULCAN
The 55 and 60 is the height measurement you are correct in theory, but I have also found that the width also changes and the 55 series would be wider than the 60 series in the same tire.I have also found that all sizes will vary from one brand to another.I don't remember what exact width my tripple tread is ,I just got lucky when I tried it.
