Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
It isnt even a VTX anymore. What is going on. Dont get me wrong the 1300's are sweet. I wonder what is going on at Honda. I wonder if they lost the X due to the factory moving back to Japan. Does anyone here have knowledge in this matter.
Thanks.

Wow....missed that....I didn't realize they removed the letter "X" from the series and now they are just "VT" series.

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
When Honda stopped making the Valkyrie I knew they did'nt have a clue . I'm not knocking the V-Twin but it would have been nice if they had hot rodded the Goldwing power plant with no tupperware and made a 1800 Valkyrie.

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
I've had a Valk since 1998 and own 3 of them today. The Rune wants to be a Valkyrie buts its not no matter what Honda calls it. The Rune sold for $24,000.00 when they came out how many people could afford that ? They come up on flea-bay all the time with very low miles they still ask $15,000.00 to $16,000.00.

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
I don't like the looks of the Rune but I sure do like the looks of the Valkyrie Interstate. The Valkyrie is a one of a kind motorcycle. Good looks and plenty of power. I can ride all day and never be worn out. Tired but never worn out and there is a difference. My Interstate is stock and is very comfortable to ride. Smokin'joe I am with you on the hodrod 1800 Valkyrie.

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
nothing has been released yet to my knowledge... hang tight and see what comes out... might be true, might not. Heard that the same speculation was made for the 1300 last year...

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
And if you look at the model specific info on the 1300, it's still called VTX. It's just the 1 page where it says VT.
Honda seems to goof stuff up every year on their web site leading to incredible speculation. I think they do it on purpose. Nothing exciting being released, might as well kick the hornet's nest.

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
No Valkyrie
No 1800
No 1100
No 600
I'm disappointed.
Did like the DN-01 !!!! But I'm not a sport cruiser kind of guy. I"ll always want a bike that I can wrench myself without taking off a bunch of tupperware to get to it.....
The nomad and royal star are looking better all the time....

Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
The Rune wants to be a Valkyrie buts its not no matter what Honda calls it.
I have looked for a YouTube video for this and cant find it. The only ones I can find are for the Rune (I think).
Anybody got a link to a picture(s) of the Valkyrie? And what is/are the differences between the Valkyrie and the Rune?
Thanx.
Re: New Honda Models...no 1800's!!!!
The pics in Smokin'joe's comments are all Valk's, along with the one in Tanglfoots sig. To me the Rune wanted to be a cross over between acruiser and a sport bike, and didn't make it.....JMHO

According to this, they haven't taken the X out of it. Not sure about that one.
