While rideing lights are brite up to the time that I stop then they dip but come back think that the bat. is going is there someone out there that has had a simular problem?

same here.. the VTX alternator can barely put out enough juice to sustain the bike at idle... let alone running lights and whatever else people add in there...

Light bar, 3 tail lights, and a stereo, mine dim at idle also. Just fine on the road where it counts. bill

How olds your battery? Take it to the parts store and have them hook up a battery alternator checker on it. You can also buy your own from harbour freight they work on 12 volt and 6 volt systems
