There's several good options, depends on what you're looking for, more or less axle height, is speedo accuracy a priority, read all the threads you can hear, much good info. Most 205's fit, Good Luck!

just about any decent speed rated 205/55, 60 or 65 will work. Some bikes need the little "ears" on the inner fender brace ground down, some don't. You can grind them just in case or check with the new tire to see....

I ride a o5 C and put a 205 60 R16 on the back. No modifications are necessary. My primary reason for the 60 is that when the speedo reads 65 your actual speed is 64.4. I really didn't want that headache.

VTX1800C Choices
OK..... losing my mind... well I already lost it but that's another story......
Falken Ziex ZE-512 205/65R-16 H rated
Michelin HydroEdge 205/65R-16 T rated
or
Dunlop SP Sport Signature 205/60R-16 V rated
???
A better choice?

I'd go with the Michelin, it's a well proven performer on a MC, and no mods required, Good Luck!

So far so good... will really test it this weekend. Started at 38psi... drifted wide in easy curves... went to 35lbs and feels squishy... looking for the sweet spot....

Welcome Pdxgoldwing , the 205 works without mods but to be sure measure twice ...................
BUT don't go with a Falken tire , it seems that they are hard to get the bead to seat .
good luck,
