need video camera recommendation

OK, I need a digital video camera to take vids of the babies, but also want to mount it on my handlebars on some of my more fun trips. Anyonw have a suggestion for a camera that will withstand the vibrations of being mounted on the bars? I'd hate to have my wife kill me from me killing the new camera.

P.S. I really need to keep it under $500

I have used a sony hc20 and hc36 on the car and the bike. those are DV tapes . I dont think that anything with a hard disk or dvd will work

go to walmart and get one that will handle 2GB chips or better, i got a cheap one on sale for under $100. but it won't work with anything over 1gb chips (about 1 hour ).
