Toyo proxes 4? Good Tire? Need Help Fast
I want to go darkside after seeing this site! Will a Toyo Proxes 4 tire work on my 1800c. Size 205-55-16? I can get one right away for 100. Any others are special order, is this a good tire?

My brother has ridden both the Proxes 4 and the T1R on his wing......He prefers the T1R better!
Good luck with you decision!

Mr. Hon, why the mad rush, that price is nothing spectacular, I can buy that tire locally for $85, take your time and read everything on this board so you can make an informed decision. The 55 will lower your bike in the rear, and your speedo will probably read at least 10% higher than actual, your rpm's will be higher at any given speed, which doesn't help mpg. If you still like the 55 that's fine, like Twin said, the T1R is better, and many agree. Most tire outlets can have tires in a day or two, or shop online. www.treadepot.com/tires is a good one of several. Slow down to 90. Good luck!

I am running that exact tire. Awesome rain traction, excellent grip under every condition I have thrown at it, which includes everything except ice. The only down side to that size tire is that the engine runs a little higher rpms and my speedo is now off 13% instead of the 8-10% it was off before.
See you out there

It stuck like glue on wet roads I was amazed. I was aprehensive when I first took off, but Ill be darned it worked great. Sure doesnt seem like you can corner, but once again it handled excellent!

Honcho,
Awesome, glad it is working out for you! Wait till you get the release mold off the tire and about 300 miles on it! That's about how long it takes to get used to it and then you will really love it!

informationally, the 205/55 and the 1300 final drive on an 1800 is a marriage made in heaven.
