Coming over to the Darkside

Been reading and just lurking about over here on the Darkside. I've learned a lot and I think I ready to give it a try. This week I bought a CT. Haven't mounted it yet. I still have a few more miles to get out of my mc tire. I got a 165/80. Kumho. Probably will get it mounted sometime in the next month or so.
Noticed that Warlock lives pretty close to me and hope he sees this post and will reply. At any rate I appeciate all of you being so willing to share your knowledge.

Glad to hear you like it. It seems that so many have gone to the 205 I was beginning to think I had made the wrong choice. Just want to stay as close to the stock size as I could.

A lot of us started with that size tire. I put 11,000 hard smokey miles on one. The same tire you have.

I think I read in one of the posts that the 165 was a good tire for a first timer. Oh yeah, I see why you only got 11,000 out of that tire. If it had been an MC tire you might not have gotten but 2,000.
