What About A Spoked Wheel?
Hey! Brothers. My oldest son just bought a sweet little '06 Honda shadow yesterday, with spoked wheels. He likes my darkside tire on my VTX, and has ridden it many times and is convinced of the benefits, but, Whats he gonna do with His?
Has it been done?

Re: What About A Spoked Wheel?
Recomend to seal. Some have had problems getting the tire to bead, and I beleave it because of the tube, Im not for sure, but thats just my 0.2.

Re: What About A Spoked Wheel?
Whoops! It's an '03, not an '06, ...but get this, it's got tubeless tires on it. ??? Could it be, that It's already sealed, or is it more likely, that they just used tubeless tires, AND tubes too. Actually, I may have just answered my own question. The dealer put new Tiawan tires on it, and, it Was a Car dealer who has reciently started selling pre-owned bikes on the side. They wouldn't have sealed the rims. I'm sure of that.

Re: What About A Spoked Wheel?
For a while there, there was some guys sending tires of to have them sealed. It was like $55or $65, plus shipping both ways. I know of one guy here in OR. that sent his off and it didnt work. could be someone sent it off and had them sealed. You should be able to tell by the valve stem.
The tires are usuley tube type or tubeless, and can go eather way.

What size darkside tire are you running?
I ran a 165/80R-15 with the OEM tube for about 12K

Re: What About A Spoked Wheel?
The other writeup uses silicone, DONT USE SILICONE Silicone has a salt in it and can cause rust.
Dont ajust spokes, unless you know what you are doing, You can end up with a real mess. My bike has over 58k on it and I have never had to ajust mine, except the one that got bent on the firewood in the road, but that dont count.
