Speedometer adjustment?
Fellas, my speedometer is off by at least five miles an hour. Can this thing be adjusted?
let me know if it can be adjusted. I would be mighty grateful.

Re: Speedometer adjustment?
They have a speedo healer for you bike that will fix that. I don't use one.
Your bike was already at least 5 mph off before you put the car tire on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine was off 10% with the Dunlop, 13% with the 165/80R15 and 19% with the 1800 Rear drive. Speedohealer was a must.

Re: Speedometer adjustment?
Ya, I know of one thing that will fix the accuracy of your speedo; a Yellow Box
http://www.yellr.com/
It runs $100, and I guess that you would calibrate it with a watch or a gps.

Yeah but Bobby ........ most of us don't have the state and county (parish for you coonasses) cops in our pockets. They all want to be in my pocket diggin deep...... they do like my cashflow.
I do know that 87 on my speedo is 75 on their gun ...... he let me off on that one tho....

Re: Speedometer adjustment?
Unca Jerr , I like to let the rev limiter be my speed governor. Hit the limiter in 4th and I know I am good. .... Ifin it weren't for them damned radios all the LEOS carry now riding would be so much more fun.

Re: Speedometer adjustment?
I know, Steve and I got stopped on Christmas Eve outside Dallas. I was following Steve. Now you know they're being picky . He saw that we were old (gotta be the reason) and let us go with a warning.
