The Ride To Savage Gulf / The Stone Door...
Hooked up yesterday morning with VRCC members Lucky 13 , Razor & Dena and long time ridin' bud Jack for a ride to Savage Gulf and The Stone Door. The weather could'nt have been better for a 340 mile round trip down through some of the best roads middle Tennessee has to offer. We took Hwy.30 out of Decatur and rode it to Spencer out by Fall Creek Falls. Then rode Hwy. 56 through Beersheba Springs to the beautiful " The Stone Door " these roads are in perfect condition with tight curves and long outstanding sweepers you can hammer through . Photo taken on the way home we had ( 2 ) Valkyries Razor's and Lucky 13 's ( 1 ) Kawasaki Concours - Jack's and I was on my Suzuki Bandit .Great group to ride with it's always a pleasure.

View of The Stone Door
It's a 2 mile round trip walk out to The Stone Door ( Well worth the walk ) . You're on top of the mountain so the trail is'nt to steep and half of it is paved.

Razor , Dena and Jack @ the trails end.
Jack got busted up years ago in a hoffific crash with a drunken driver that pull out of a bar in front of him. He did'nt ride for a few years after that but has been back on 2 wheels about 10 years now. When he was younger he built and drag raced motorcycles. A great rider.
