Hico Pie run
I would like to see if anyone near D/FW would be up for a Pie run to Hico on April 12? Since I'm not able to make it to Mt. Ida this would be a good little ride to enjoy some really good pie with a stop in Stephenville for some BBQ.

The Koffe Cup is a small hole in the wall mom & pop kind of place. It is located in Hico, TX and serves some of the best pie in North Texas. It is a stop for more bikers then cagers that travel down it's roads, and Stephenville is just down the road from it. Toasted can attest it has some great BBQ at the Hard Eight and is another place for bikers to head to.

Re: Hico Pie run
You know, it wasn't until I took a look at a calender that I remembered something, I have a club meeting on the 12th. Personally I feel that it is rather poor of me to plan a get together and not show up due to other commitments. I'm gonna reschedule the Pie Run for May 17, the third Sat in May. That way it'll be a little easier to get more peeps in on it. The bad thing is that my weeks gone pretty much like this.

Re: Hico Pie run
Instead of running down ton the Hard Eight BBQ, Loco Coyote is sounding like a great place to head to. It's off the beaten path with some great food.
Here's just one of the plates they offer
Here's their Po'boy sandwich
Let me know if this sounds good for you.

Re: Hico Pie run
Here's the plan, We'll met up at the Love's Truck stop at 67 and 287 down in Midlothian around 11:00am on May 17. Then head down to Hico to the Koffee Kup for some great pie and something to drink. Depending on how hungry we are we'll decide on either the Hard Eight or Loco Coyote's for lunch. Just need to get an idea for those that want to come to know who to expect to meet us there. Rather not leave someone behind that's coming for the pie and the fun.
Re: Hico Pie run
I'm planning on coming but I have to wait for MAY to get here to finalize my schedule.

Re: Hico Pie run
Looks like this week will be a wet one, but Saturday's forecast is for partly cloudy and in the mid 80's. Time will tell what to expect and since it changes rather fast I plan on going unless there's a severe thunderstom that day.
Re: Hico Pie run
I'll do a Hico pie run sometime. Not this weekend though.
Catfish Haven up on 377 north of Whitesboro has a billion homemade pies. Good catfish too! In case you want to do a pie run up north sometime. Good bbq up in Tioga too. Damn, got me hungry now....

Re: Hico Pie run
I was going to go ... but last night the lady I'm selling my colt to said she wants to come and see him on Saturday at noon. Since she's a customer, I have to oblige. I'm going to have to catch the next one. Thanks for the heads up though Cerooth.

Re: Hico Pie run
That's three I've heard from that's not able to make what looks like a beautiful day for a ride. High's in the low 80's, wind 5-10 mph mostly sunny, just another reason to get out and play. I also heard that there is suppose to be a steak cook off in Hico this Saturday as well, wonder if they need a taste tester or judge for the event. MMMMMMMMMM, pie and steak and BBQ.............................ok, now I'm really getting hungry.
