I just mounted a Goodyear 175/60/16 tire on my 2008 Sportster. It works great but I have measured .020 inch of tread wear in 180 miles. At this rate the tire will only be good for about 3000 miles.
Is there an initial rapid wear on a new tire?
I got 13,000 miles out of a Michelin Commander tire and was hoping to get at least twice that from a car tire.
