Double darkside

Alright ladies and gentlemen, I have no doubt this has been asked and answered before, I hoping to get the most up-to-date information. 1.What size tire to double darkside my 97 Valkyrie?
2. Does it matter what's on the back?
3. Do you recommend a particular brand?
I'm riding from Pensacola up to Niagara Falls and back. Bonus question: any tips on balancing the wheels?

I don't remember using a rear tire on the front of either of my Valkyries. I will say that on Valkyries and Goldwings, as long as you really like the darkside rear, the front can go either way. Obviously you don't get quite the lasting mileage advantage of the double dark but it will work.

Use Dyna-Beads or Counteract beads for balancing.

BTW. Do not neglect the drive line service when you change the rear tire.
