new drag times from a cartire Vtx
Well I am sure some will doubt this but last year i made a pass or two on my Vtx at the local dragstrip with a best on my bike of 13.30 and a best on the wifes of 13.08, last night i went to the track with my 215/45/18 Toyo on and nothing else different the bike clocked a 13.13 with a couple missed shifts D*** rev limiter and then i got it together and ran a 12.49 at 105.50 i backed it up with a 12.50 so i think the car tire makes a big difference my 60 foot times were 3/4 tenths better than the Metzler

Dang Batoo!!!! That's awesome! I always wondered if it would make a difference......And now we know! I bet you could get even better with a couple more nites of flying down the 1/4. With NO performance to the motor the car tire really does a good job then to make us quicker.
You make me wish I had done the 1300 before the darkside to see it for myself also!

I don't know that the rest of us have enough parts laying around for Muntz to perfect the wheelies. Nor are the ER's staffed well enough for it.
See you out there

I aint going back to an ER again unless I got a bone sticking out of the skin or I have cut an artery, and in case #2 I wont make it there.
