So I'm try to mount my first tire I have a 175/65/15 Dunlop. Bike tire that came off was a 180/70/15. I can not for the life of me get the car tire to bead. I can get all of it but about a six inch section on each side. I have ran it up to 100psi I have tried tire soap, dish soap, ever tried a dab of grease nothing I do will let me set the bead all the way on the rim. Any ideas Thanks hende and bike is a 92 vt1100 honda with mag rim thank again hende

Do not use grease !! Get yourself a good size rope or small chain, put it around the center of your tire, get a bar or pipe and twist your rope or chain till it's tight and pushes your bead against your wheel, fill it with air. Shouldn't take a 100lbs. to seat it, a little soap and water or a little spray of Windex. Remember we're talking lbs.per sq. in. when we're talking about air in a tire, per sq.in.is a lot of air pressure. You don't want that tire coming off your rim, I have a crooked wrist from when I blew a tire off a rim 40 years ago and broke a bone in my arm and fractured 15 in my hand. thumbup

Try setting it out in the sun or under a heat lamp, get some good tire lubricant, maybe a local tire place will sell you a small bit.
Air it up and just let it sit awhile. It will seat.

I used a ratchet tie down to seat a stubborn atv tire. check your local custom motorcycle shop, well worth the 42 bucks.I've heard the 15" rims are hard to seat, mines a 16.Good luck man.
