2008 Raider, Darkside?

Myself, and two co-workers have ordered car tires for our VTX's. Now we have another co-worker interested in going DARKSIDE. He rides a 2008 Raider. Has anyone gone DARKSIDE on the Raider. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We can try to help, just let us know what the stock tire size of the Raider is??????

The stock tire is fatter and flatter than our cruisers. This will be interesting.

The tire for the Raider is 210/40-18. He is really thinking about this pretty hard. I was thinking maybe a 225 or 235 if we can find the right profile. I will get him to measure his swingarm the next time I talk with him and see what clearence he has.

I have brought my raider to the dark side not much to say other than i like the way the bike handles with the C/T on the rear. I went with a Kumho z rated 225/45/18 plenty of clearance and runnign 40 lbs of air . put it on today but will be makeing post aS time goes by .

I have been running a 225-40-18 Hanook Z-rated tire for over 11000 miles now with only minimal wear very happy with the darkside on my Raider.

new here owner of raider looking to darkside it, only thing I found was this topic here, but don't give me enough info.. cornering at speeds? etc, handling charit? better worse? have had up to a 250 elite 3 on the thing and loved it then, but that was cycle tire...

I went dark side on my 08 Raider 25000 miles ago no complaints or problems

I have the General Altimax HP 225/40ZR18 on my raider for over 15,000 miles now and it probably has 5-10k more miles left in it. I love it!
