General Altimax HP

Anyone else ever run the General Altimax HP?

I have had mine for about 10,000 miles. I like it but I am disappointed at the mileage. I am already at the wear indicators. No burnouts or any of that business. I do ride aggressive at times but I really thought I would get more miles out of it.

what pressure ?

I've got almost 20k on my altimax arctic and at about 50% wear, however the arctic may have deeper tread to begin with

38 to 40 psi. Ive liked it and would use it again but i think i may try something different. How does your winter tire do in the summer? Ive seen some good prices on them.

I have the General G-Max have over 11,000 miles on it and looking like I will get about 16,000 out of it I also was hoping for more it has a good tread pattern on it and performs great, my son ran a dunlap on his and changed it out at about 16,500 miles, seems to be the norm.

Just put a General G- Max 205/50/17 on my 05 Rune, haven't road much except back and forth to work, going to rain this week end, I'll have to wait till next week end for some twesties. I like it so far, replaced a 200/50/17 Avon Storm -II, more than likely never go back to motorcycle tire again. Also running 180/60/16 rear tire on my front. Hoping for long milage on this rear one.

excellent, unlike a 3500lb cage, a 500lb bike doens't make em melt like candy

I'm running 36psi on my V-strom, just under 20k so far about half in winter on cold road surface, the other half in summer but not necessarily pavment, 40% or so of my riding is gravel roads
