Took Ms Raven dancin last night, or ... why I love the headlights on her
Headed to work last night taking my normal route. There are a couple sets of S curves along the way. One set a short sweeper the other set a long high speed set.
I rode through the short set at my normal it's dark the deer are out pace. Which is above the posted speed of 55 but not peg dragging fast.
Into the second set at a pace that the great state of mother effing Chicago would impound my bike due to more than 30 over the posted speed of 55. This set is easily good for triple digits , but..... I rode through the first curve of the second set and had set up starting into the second curve when I saw something that just didn't look right on the road. Stood the Raven back up and jumped hard on the binders just in time to miss the horrific crash that was waiting for me. Apparently a new spring popped up on the upside of the curve as the road was soaking wet with a buttload of sand litterally flowing across the road. Cant wait to get a better look at it in teh daylight on the way home.
But for it to be daylight means I will have to take the long way home while the sun rises .... oh, damn ... hurt me
The rest of the dance was uneventful and mucho fun
See you out there
