205-70-16 anyone?
Our stock middle number is 70 and I havn't seen anyone using it, usually the 65-60. Anyone? it should fit on the 1800c?
thanks.

Re: 205-70-16 anyone?
that's an aspect ratio meaning the height of the tire is dictated by the width and that aspect ratio of the width. A 205 is wider than a 180 therefor a 205 70 would be a LOT taller than a 180 70, if that makes sense

It does make sense. My question though is has anyone used that tire size, or/and would it fit. I love the lower rpm numbers from the conversion tire link. thanks for the response.

not to my knowledge.... I haven't looked, but sometimes the "perfect" size isn't available. I've run into that a lot on vehicles...

I found someone running a 205 70 15, says his speedo is pretty close, that size tire on a 16" rim would for sure lower RPMs, wonder if it would clear at suspension compression? Bet not if you have shorter shock, or it would at least be close!

Great. could you possibly ask him what model bike, and did he need to do any mods? my shocks are stock so I think that is a good thing. love to be able to use that size if possible without mods. thanks

that was on a 15" rim, still shorter than a 205 70 16 would be

Michelin Hydro on 1800C
I've been running the 205 65-16 on my 2006 1800C for 5000 miles now. There is no way I will EVER go back to a regular bike tire. I am now more aggressive in my riding with the michelin than I ever was with the dunlops. I am now an official peg scrapper complete with sparks. I love the looks I get when I visit my watering holes. Someone always comes up to question or compliment about the " car tire ". Most people do not understand the stability these darksider tires give you. I feel I also gained in the cornering dept. I run 41 lbs in my michelin. I pulled the rear tire assembly off myself and took it to an independent cycle shop to mount and bubble balance. Tire went back on bike with no problem. Bought the tire at BIG 10. Tell them at purchase this is a carry out. They will knock off $10.00 or so. My local Big 10 beat Tireracks price when I told him their price.
If your ever in the GulfShores, Ala area, Howards Cycle Shop off Hwy 59 and west 4 miles down Co. Rd 12 is the cycle shop to depend on !!!!!!

Went with Michelin HE 205-65-16 with 37 lbs and like the ride. Put about 500 miles so far. No mods, rubbing, even with 2 up so I am happy.
