I'M A NEWB!!!

I just signed up because uhm, yep, i now ride on the Darkside!!!! its something different, but the amount of money i'll be saving is great! it does feel a little different in the turns, especially low speed curves. i'm using a a general grabber 205/70/15 on my '04 1300C. using dyna beads, and the mechanic that put it on for me was cussin. said it took about 100-120 psi to pop the bead! then he backed it off to 32. might up the pressure a little, as i've read that others use anywhere from 38-42 psi. this has to be about the best mod ever for these bikes. i was chewing thru 1 tire per year. that was getting expensive. 6k miles per year on 1 tire, thats at least $150/year. makes it seem hardly worth the effort to save money on gas. now i got my tire from tirerack.com for $98 shipped. and it will last me, 40-50k miles. thats about $1200 savings over the course of 8 years. When I put a ct on my 1300C it felt a little squirrely on tar snakes and pavement cracks when I raised the pressure above 35. You'll want to play with the pressure till you hit the sweet spot.
