Hey friends, I have a 83 GL1100 and was wondering what rear Car tire works on it?

Not sure on a GL1100, but a GL1500 can run a 175/60/16, but it is a 160/80/16 stock size and your GL1100 stock size is a 140/90/16. I don't know where you can readily find a 16 inch tire smaller than the 175 profile. Good luck on your search.

Welcome to our site sir and congrats on your choice to try the darkside. There will be some wingers come along soon and post their choices.
My twin brother ran one on his wing until he got sick and had to sell it. He had the Toyo TR1 series tire on his. He loved it.

Smokey he has a 140/90/16 and the 175/60/16 that they use on a GL1500 won't fit in his fender.
I don't know of a narrower tire in a 16 inch diameter.
