Re: Kermit
Welcome, Gert, hope you enjoy the Darkside as much As I have. Just changed this week. Going for my second ride today. First impression, no big deal a bit diferent, but just the same two wheels rolling and me driving.. All the negitives are in the minds of people that just can't accept any thing other than status que.. How boring!!! I like to try new things. The naysayers always have the option of switching back to a M.C. tire.. Nothing is written in blood....REAPS

Re: Kermit
Kermit welcome to the Darkside. That tire should stick to the road like a tree frogs toes stick to glass.
ENJOY, and let us know what you think.

Re: Kermit
Gotta admit, I haven't even gotten to take my bike 10 miles since I switched. Was having alot of knee problems and Thursday, I finally got my knee surgery done. Doc said I could do whatever I wanted, whenever I felt like it, so tomorrow, I'll be riding my new darkside and 1300R floorboards that hubby put on for me today. Hubby darksided last night, so it is something we'll both break in at the same time. I know we're gonna love it. Friend across the street has a Valk and he's already search info for his bike.

Re: Kermit
I'm afraid not as many as I would have hoped. This working out of town is killing me. Hopefully, that'll end come July and I can work closer to home. I've only put 15000 miles on my bike in 2 years. Hopefully this summer, with the trip to Colorado and a few more planned, I'll remedy that.

Re: Kermit
Hey Kermit, I didn't realize you were up in Texarkana. I was hoping that this year I was going to take my first trip up to Arkansas, but as luck would have it, I got a herniated disc a few weeks back. It's pinching off the nerve to my right arm, so I'm having muscle spasms, and lots of pain in that arm. Looks like it'll be surgury for me, and soon. I think my spring trip just got a rain check.

Re: Kermit
Wow Kermit ... that's a haul!
If you ever find yourself in desperate need of a stopping point, I'm on I-30 Exit 104. My mailbox is on the freeway.
Do you do that drive on your bike?

Re: Kermit
Last year I rode the bike alot of it, but this year the weather has been too unpredicatable. I stay gone 6-7 days at a time and never know when it'll be nice or when it'll rain. Plus, I don't have a garage.
