Cumberland Gap...Three States...One Ride
We had ( 4 ) Valkyrie's show-up this cold morning for the ride to Cumberland Gap. Big Al , Smooth Rider ( Greg ) Misunderstood ( Dave ) and Smokin'joe .Big Al was having some trouble with his horns not working and at every stop he would work on them.
Going through the tunnel was a blast with all the cool lights they have inside Big Al and I was turning the loud exhaust into beautiful music inside the tunnel. No pictures of the tunnel but trust me it's cool
Next stop the top of Cumberland Gap this area of Kentucky , Virginia, Tennessee has some beautiful scenic views and spectacular rock formations.
We came in from Tennessee and found the Kentucky / Virginia state lines . Picture below Dave with one foot in Kentucky and one foot in Virginia.
This is Middlesboro , Kentucky as seen from Cumberland Gap.
" The Money Shot " ....Great ride today it was in the low 30's when we started and warmed up into the high 40's .

It was about 5 degrees warmer here in Atlanta yesterday, so me and a bud got some good interstate miles in, and a trade show. Bought a NICE leather jacket for $80...he has one just like it he paid $250 for...I'll never let him live that down...of course...

The wife and I did the Cumberland Gap ride in 2002.
Thats the year I bought it. We went to Bristol Raceway and got to ride the track too. It was a hellacious ride up to the top. The tunnel was cool. She leaned out over my left shoulder and snapped a pic and the flash hit the left mirror and it blocked out everything EXCEPT what was rught there which was a wing going the other way, what a sight. Theres one of the reasons I'm retiring to that area.
