Front Tire

What's the best one fore long mileage and good handling? I'll be in the market by the end of the summer.

i put on a metz ME880 marathon on last summer and it really sticks to the road. 10x better than the stocker. i dont know what mileage yet but it cant be any worse than the 6k i got on the duncrap. just got the 205 douglas on back now and cant wait to test to see how she handles with all the new traction.

Bridgestone Spitfire S11.....it's a sport touring tire like for one of those ST1300's or Yamaha FJ's. And wow! Does it handle. I get great mileage out of them too. Plus it works great w/a Darkside. JMO! Just so you know, the tire they make in that style only fits the C model like yours.

I had the ME880 on my BMW, replaced it at 15,000 miles because it started to blister.
Held the road good in the rain with wind gusts at 70 MPH, while I was running at 75 MPH. Had to change my shorts when I got home though.

I was just asking the same quesions. Here's the rough idea I got from my shadow board (keep in mind, this is for shadows).

The two most recommended are:

Metzeler 880 Marathon. Rides great, mileage is around 15-20K, I found one online for $130ish.

Avon Venom-x. Rides AMAZING!!! Mileage is around 10-15K, I found one online for 80 bucks.

I'm going with the Avon Venom here in a few weeks.
