1800S with 1800C rear wheel and rotor, how wide of CT and who has best CT
Couple years ago I tried to go CT on spoke rim with out much luck. Now I have a 1800C rear wheel and rotor coming. How wide of CT can I go before I need to Replace fender, or rim? I can mod swingarm. Should I even think about a wider tire or is the 195, 205 as big as I want to go.
Is there a consenses as make best CT for the VTX?
Thanks chris

The 205 is a good fit. only mod needed would be to turn the exhaust bolts around.
So far all have liked the General Grabber, Mich Hydroedge, and Good Year Tripple Tread.
The best tire? Don't know that there is one. Hardest to mount goes to the Falken.
70 series is a little easier to mount than a 65 series. On a 15" rim.
Happy hunting.

horseman8 put a 215 on his, but had to make a dimple in the driveshaft tube for clearance... 205 is probly the widest you can go easily

I have a '04 1800 Retro and run "C" wheels front and rear. I had no clearance problems.
The only alteration I did do was grind down the long bolts on the rectifier for ease of installation. Of the tire. I use a 205 60 16 GYTT
