17" tire Empty 17" tire

Hey Guys,

new to the forum. I have a 2007 HD softail, currently running an M/T 200/55R17. Getting to the ned of its life and I am interested in switching to a C/T. It appears from what I have read a 205/55R17 C/T will fit without too much strain. It is a solid alum rim. I wanted to stay with the 55 to keep the speedometer accurate. Can some of you advise a few brands that I might be able to find. I have had advise on Falken but they do not make a 55 series tire. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Nicko

Nick, just saw this old post. Guess and hope you're running already but still, I found this one;

Thanks for that. I have not made the switch over yet. I got in a wreck on my other bike June 7 and have been in casts etc since. I appreciate the information though, cause I need to replace that tire in the next 1000 miles or so and I am determined to go to a CT then. $88 sounds like a heck of a deal too....
