I have an1800 VTX RS, I installed a hydroedge 205-70-15 with a tube. I have taken the pressure up to 105 PSI and I am unable to get the tire bead to seat. Put alot of soapy water, lubricant and even put the tire back on the back ran it up to the rev limiter in 5th gear 140 mph and tire still won't seat. Crying or Very sad Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try to get the tire bead to seat?

There was some other guys haveing a hard time getting the beads to seat with a tube in it also.
I really dont know, maybe some other guys will chime in with some other ideas.
You may try some cooking oil and take it up to 100 lbs.

i also tried a couple of different straps with no luck. I have purchased some 3M 5200 and i am going to seal the spokes and try again without the tube. thanks for the suggestions.

I have had issues seating the bead on my rim. Just finished the install today and this is what I did, lightly sanded the bead, cleaned with silicon then lubed the bead when installing on rim. I took the wheel home an placed it in the garage with 55 psi after rubbing a lite coat of Crisco on the brad and the rim, and let it sit over night. and be prepared to sit outside in the sun. Good luck.

+1 on the cooking oil or something slicker than soapy water! JMO
