Bridgestone Turanza EL400 Worn Out Empty Bridgestone Turanza EL400 Worn Out

I wonder if anyone is running a Bridgestone Turanza EL 400 (195/60-16) on their Nomad or any other bike. I have less than 10,000 miles on the tire and is nearly ready to be replaced. The tread across the center 3/4 of the tire is worn the most. I have been running 35 psi because it handles well at that pressure. I am afraid of dropping the pressure because at a lower pressure the tire is a bit squirrily in the turns. My next tire is a Continental Vanco 195/65-16, and I hope it give me a lot more mileage than the Bridgestone did.

Hey Metalman, sounds like a tuff go with that turanza at only 10,000 miles I checked out the
average wear mileage and factory gives it at least an 80,000 mile life, maybe you got just got
a lemon this time better luck with the Vanco.

Cheers

Actually, I came very close to purchasing the Bridgestone Turanza EL-400 for my bike as it appeared it would have been the only brand available in the 195/60/16 that I needed for my Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 1500. However, it turned out I couldn't get it either. However, while doing my research on car tires, I had read a couple of reviews from car owners, that they got disappointing results in longevity, others swore by them so maybe there are some bad batches out there.
I ended up buying a Hankook Optimo H426, which I 'hope' will give me good longevity but,......time will tell I guess.
Hope you have better luck with the Continental Vanco. thumbup

My el400 wore out in about 12000miles but those were very happy miles. but after doing some research the el400 has a short tread life to begin with like 360, my new tire is a 205 60 16 primwell ps830 with a tread life of 580 this one should hold up over 20k.
