Need to ask this of riders more knowledgeable than I.
Am I O.K. using a H rated tire?
I was going to put on another Toyo Proxes, but found a tire in the local shop that I like and is available asap. It is H rated.

Thats what I have. I don't cruise over 100mph very often and then not for long. No problems here. Be sure to check the born on date on the tire. He might be trying to unload an old item if the deal is to good to be true.

Its on the side wall. Normally its just a 4 digit number for week and year. The tire manufacturers say to replace your car tires every 7 years. What you accept is up to you, but personally if its been sitting on a shelf more than a year I'll look somewhere else. Just for the peace of mind. That goes for mt too.

I've put tens of thousands of miles on H rated tires. Never had a problem.
