Progressive Suspension rear shocks with Darkside, what size shocks?

I bought a set of used 10.5" progressive rear shocks for my 2002 VTX 1800c, unfortunately they won't work with the darkside GYTT tire I have installed. So here is the question, what size rear shock should I get? 12.5"

Stock length is 12.25", you should be able to run 11.5", 12", or 12.5" without any problem. Depends how you want it to sit and ride. The longer the shock, the more suspension travel, and the better the ride.

Thanks for the info guys. Now I just have to resell a used set of old progressive shocks that I paid too much for. Rats.

in your favor, progressive doesn't make them that short for our scoots anymore so they might be a little more popular than you might think to the right people....

Those 10.5's may be alright for someone wanting a lowered rear, and running a low profile tire, and/or custom fender.
