We are hittin' the road this morning for the 500 mile ride to Hattiesburg , Mississippi . The local weather channel is claimin' 13 this morning and its always about 4 to 5 degrees colder out here in the woods. We are going to see VRCC member Rick V who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash back in December on The Tail Of The Lizard outside of Hattiesburg.Mark rode up from South Carolina yesterday and we plan to ride out after day-light. 9 degrees BRRRRRRRRRR I can't say I'm looking forward to that on a bike but I am looking forward to seeing everyone when we get there and the Saturday ride to finish The Tail Of Lizard.

Smokin'joe,

Be careful on the road and let us know when you get back. Slay the Lizard for us!

But while you are there....Tell Ricky that some guys he don't know are praying for him.

I have been keeping an eye on the weather in the Tenn, Ms area today and if Smokin'joe and Mark have been riding in that stuff they have been wet and cold all day. I hope you got some frogg toggs or something to turn the wet and gear to stay warm in. Talk about BBBBRRRRR.

If I had to ride in the weather we had today. I'd be good for about 20 miles. Shocked

You warm weather guys crack me up. I'm down right now due to too much ice on the road, but I once rode 375 miles non stop (well, one fuel stop) in 37 degrees weather poouring rain the whole way. It wasn't fun though and I'd not have made the trip cept I needed to get back home for work the next day.

Oh yeah, there was the time I rode 180 miles in 13 degree weather just for a Church visit with some friends.

And the times when I rode my bike to work and it snowed during the day so I had to ride home in 3-6" of fresh snow (more than once)

Hmmmm, maybe you guys are the smart ones afterall, Wyoming weather sucks for bikes.

I ride year round just like a lot of the people on this board no matter what the weatherman says. 1st and 2nd degree frost bite in both hands, riding in the state of Washington. Still riding and LOVING IT Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
