inexpensive headlight mod
I went to walmart the other day and found a pair of mountable chrome running lights that I had to have on the bike. They cost 15.00 and I am thoroughly pleased in the outcome. Where I work I dont have access to the web sites to make my pics work so twinn will load the pics. I wired the lights to the existing recepticle in the housing and I used shrink wrap to hide the white wire insulation which the lights came with. The brackets are 1/2 aluminum in the shape of a diamond roughly 2 in wide and 3 1/2 in long. I used 2 for the headlight extension and 2 for the extra lights.
UPDATE! i LOST A BEZEL RING HAD TO BUT ANOTHER SET OF LIGHTSMODS GETTING MORE EXPENSIVE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DRILL A SMALL PILOT HOLE IN BOTTOM THEN INSTALL A SCREW TO HOLD BETTER.......

Re: inexpensive headlight mod
Got the same lights. Hooked mine through a relay and an aux switch. I just tie wrapped mine to the turn signal bar, I like your mounting plates. Nice job. Keep it up.

Inspector Darkside,
Nice job! I saw the post weeks ago on the OB. Great job! Thanks for posting that on here. I put mine about 15" off the ground on the frame.....(see twin lite mod).
So how's the riding at nite...hehehehe I can't get over mine and how I rode without them and the lites I used are 55 watts too! I noticed more people tend to see me in the daylight too!

+1 Twin! I cant believe the difference those lights make! I mounted mine with tiny pieces of angle stock off the turn signal mounts. I was out riding in 20degrees the other night testing them. Still loving my darkside too!
