Deciding on new tire - please help
First off I would like to say hey - finally joined after browsing for over a year.
Iam getting ready for a trip and am going to replace my stock Dunny with a ct, now I just am looking for some input on which tire. I have browsed and read and know what to stay away from, but could still use some help. Bike is an 05 1800R with stock suspension. Tires that I am able to easily get where I am at are:
Bridgestone Potenza 205x60x16 for about $135
Mich HydroEdge 205x65x16 for about $130
Yokohama 205x60x16 $133
BFG Traction T/A 205x60x16 $100
" " 205x65x16 $80
The ones that I can get from the shop that will mount the tire for me are the Yoko and the Potenza (not sure which exact one, but it is directional). I can have a shop order in the GoodYear TT for about $135 also. From what I have read, the BFG is a little soft on the sidewall. Thanks for any input that you can share - Erik

Re: Deciding on new tire - please help
either of the top two are popular choices, just pick your size (the 65 profile will be a tad taller than stock and push the speedo closer to correct)
Welcome!
There are other options out there, but in the end it's all up to you! If you want to compare size google a tire calculator and you can see the numbers for the different sizes...
any other questions, feel free to ask!

I would go with the Mich HE 205/65-16, well proven performer, requires no clearance mods, and will help to correct speedo, like the Bassmaster said. Have a good safe trip
