4800 mile ride was awsome
Just got back a few days ago from the west coast. When i look at it on the map, it still amazes me the distance from mississippi to the pacific ocean. We only had 9 days to complete the run so there was not much time for side trips other than the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Vegas, and some of the Pacific Coast Hwy. I do recomend a great road Hwy 58 from Bakersfield CA to Morro Bay CA. it has a 80 mile section with no sevices, only a couple of cross roads and REALLY in the middle of nowhere. The road offers a couple of mountin ranges to ride twisties and some valleys with very strange but fun "bunny hop hills". My faithful partner was a little grumpy a few nights after riding hard all day, but she was a real trooper through it, rain, cold weather and all. Didn't care much for LA, way to much traffic but Beverly hills was cool, not worth the traffic but still cool. Glad to be home and am planning on the east coast next year, gonna take a few extra days text time. I will say this, I have been out west in a truck several times, but the view from a bike is the best way to enjoy in the sights that only the west has to offer.

Great ride, hope you can post a few more pictures.
I rode from Phoenix to Grants Pass Oregon last April, took two weeks and that was only 3000 miles. You must have been riding some long days.

Don't mind at all, although the pictures do not do the vastness (don't think that is real word) and beauty justice. we stopped in one area to take pictures and my girlfriend said " I bet these people thatlive here don't realize how beautiful a place this is". I guess we all get use to our surroundings after a while. Heck, i live a few miles south of memphis and have never been to graceland.
